FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ENCORE GROUP SIGNS JOHN DEERE LICENSE
WINSTON-SALEM, NC - A new licensing agreement with John Deere Shared Services, Inc., and The Encore Group covers a wide range of gifts and home décor products. The first introductions debuted during summer markets and included nostalgic ceramic mugs, coasters and mousepads produced locally by the XPRES® Division of Encore.
"We are very excited about our new affiliation with John Deere, and our introductory collection was met with rave reviews by our customers," says Ken Siemers, Encore executive vice president of sales and marketing. "They are already looking forward to our Garden line, and we are confident it will be met with the same enthusiastic response."
Under the non-exclusive license, several divisions of Encore will be represented in the product lineup. United Design® Division will create statuary, fountains, stepping stones, thermometers and rain gauges, as well as frame-ology® photo frames; Figi® Division is slated to create garden stakes and Family Matters™ garden décor; and other products include ornaments, Greeting Box sets, pet accessories, waterglobes and plaques.
John Deere, a blacksmith by trade, migrated from Vermont to Western Illinois in the 1830s and used his skills to create the first steel plow in 1837. It was not long before his innovative "self polishing plow" was revolutionizing agriculture. Today, Deere & Co., headquartered in Moline, IL, is the world leader in its industry, and "John Deere Green" is a familiar cultural icon.
The Encore Group is based in San Diego, CA and Winston-Salem. Its principal brands include United Design, Papel Giftware®, XPRES, Living Stone® and Figi, which also includes Michel & Company and J.W. Stannard. Other licenses include Harley-Davidson®, Collegiate Licensed Product®, NFL, NHL, NASCAR, among others. The company has showrooms in all major market centers and manufacturing facilities in North Carolina.
